Chrysallis

Exciting (and daunting) times ahead as I join the third year of a BA Photography programme (as a "newbie").
My ideas are very much at an infant stage so far, but my gut and my heart are telling me that that I want to revisit and evolve a project that I undertook last year - dog portraits.  The direction of this new project has yet to be explored, and I will be seeking inspiration from both my favourite photographers, and also new (to me) influences.

Revisiting the works of William Wegman, Elliott Erwit, Tim Flach and Charlotte Dumas will allow me to galvanise my knowledge of these photographers, whilst allowing me to absorb the visual elements that they employ to make their images "work".  I also have a feeling that I will try to incorporate the use of light and colour as employed by artists such as Rinko Kawachi and William Eggleston, and hopefully the effects will be subtly seen in my work.

Looking forward to inspiration striking.....
